Nepal — The family of Yog Kumar Phagami, former president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) UK, has provided food items worth Rs. 35,000 for the senior citizens residing at the Galeshwar Dham Ashram in Myagdi district.

According to Ashram Chairperson Bam Bahadur Pun mentioned that the items including salt, oil, rice, lentils, sugar, fruits, and other daily consumables were donated in memory of Yog Kumar Phagami’s late father Sa Bahadur Phagami, mother Pa Maya Phagami, and sister Dhan Kumari Garbuja, on the occasion of their annual rememberance day.

A very popular social worker Yog Kumar Phagami, who is associated with dozens of active organizations in the UK and was present to deliver the foods item, said that elderly people are living deities who deserve love and respect, not neglect. He added that the donation was made in remembrance of his late parents and sister, with that very sentiment in mind. Phagami also expressed his commitment to continuing support for senior citizen homes and other social causes in the future.
