Kathmandu – Anand Gurung, a famous model turned actor entered in Nepali film industry with his debut Tamu language film “Yumpo Deurali” directed by Bed Bahadur Gurung. He was born in 2050, Asadh 30 and began his acting journey from famous songs of Raju Gurung’s and Durga Gurung’s ‘Deurali Bhanjyang’ and ‘Salai Jo’ .

He has played in dozens of music videos. Recently, he is awarded as ‘The Best Lok Dohori Model-Male Category’ in ‘Amin National Music Award 2019’ from the song ‘Kati Ramro Kamal Phool’.

Anand was in top three of World Nepal Music Award NewYork, 2019 nominated from Music video of ‘Kamal Fulyo Hilaima’. He won the FICOCC (Five Continents International Film Festival) best Young Actor Award in a short course of his career.

Anand has love and attachment with his culture, customs and language and want to promote and preserve it. He wants to continue his acting career in Nepali Film industry.
