GRNC News: Tree Plantation – By Lila Seling Mabo
The Greater Rushmore Nepali Community (GRNC) has been able to organize a tree plantation programme in Manor Park collaborating with the Rushmore Borough Council on 14th February 2024 at 11:30 am. It was a special day because it was Valentine’s Day.
We planted 70 small trees with volunteers from the GRNC and Andy from the RBC. Andy and the tree team attended to show us the method and the location of the tree plantation.
Many volunteers turned up punctually with appropriate clothes, spades, forks, and stools for digging. Dr.Bishal Gurung VP of GRNC co-ordinated this programme.

This collaboration is a step towards making our Nepali community a great example.
We can go forward together.
The co-ordinator Dr. Bishal Gurung thanked everyone for taking time off to participate and show unity for a good cause. He also thanked Rushmore Borough Council for providing the trees. This shows a good example of integration on the part of the GRNC with mainstream society in the UK.
