Karna Gurung – UK

Paiyung Khola Tamu Samaj UK successfully celebrated Tamu Lhosar 2082, marking the farewell of Sarpa (Snake) Barga and the welcoming of Ghoda (Horse) Barga, on 13 December 2025 at Tamu Pye Lhu Sangh Bhawan, Reading, United Kingdom.

The event was attended by approximately 150–160 members and their families, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Despite the absence of the Chairman, Mr Purna Bahadur Gurung, the programme was efficiently organised by the 7th Executive Committee under the capable leadership of Interim Chairman Mr Bhuwani Prasad Gurung, BSc (Hons).

The entire programme was smoothly conducted by General Secretary Mr Bhawan Gurung. A variety of cultural and entertainment activities were presented, greatly engaging the audience. The highlight of the celebration was the special presence of National Dohori popular Singer Mr Chij Gurung and Mrs Balkashi Gurung, host of the Rodhi Programme, who travelled from Nepal to grace the occasion.

The programme commenced at 11:00 hours and concluded at approximately 21:00 hours. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations, reflecting unity, cultural pride, and the joyful spirit of Tamu Lhosar 2082.

The event concluded successfully, leaving members with fond memories and strengthened community bonds.
