Jamuna Pun – United Kingdom
Dut Garbuja Pun Magar (Chimkhole Kaila), originally from Chimkhola, Ward No. 7 of Raghuganga Rural Municipality, Myagdi, and currently residing in the United Kingdom, has donated 19 madal including 15 small, 2 medium, and 2 large madals—along with one keyboard to Amar Secondary School, Chimkhola for music education.
According to Prith Bahadur Garbuja of Amar Secondary School, the madals and keyboard will be used for the school’s music classes. To run these classes, K. Prasad Garbuja has been assigned as the music instructor.
Based on the recommendation of Gam Bahadur Pun Magar, former teacher of Amar Secondary School and guru of Sorathi dance, these musical instruments were gifted through the Chimkhole Kaila Endowment Fund.
These instruments aim to help the new generation of students at Amar Secondary School learn and preserve the indigenous cultural traditions of Chimkhola—such as Sorathi, Purkhyaulee (ancestral) dance, Thali dance, and other folk musical forms. The donation also seeks to encourage young students to learn madal playing, promote traditional rhythms, and prevent the local cultural heritage from fading away.
Students involved in the music class plan to present madal-playing performances during the upcoming Bhumé Puja festival in the month of Chaitra. According to Sorathi dance guru Gam Pun, students who participate in madal playing will also receive cash prizes from the Chimkhole Kaila Endowment Fund.
जमुना पुन – बेलायत
म्याग्दी, रघुगंगा गाउँपालिका ७ चिमखोला हाल बेलायत निवासी दुत गर्बुजा पुन मगर (चिम्खोले काईला) ले अमर माध्यामिक बिद्यालय चिमखोलालाई संगीत शिक्षाको लागि १५ वटा सानो मादल २ वटा मझौला र २ वटा ठुलो मादल गरि जम्मा १९ वटा मादल र एक किबोर्ड उपहार दिएका छन।
उक्त मादल र किबोर्ड अमर माध्यमिक विद्यालयको संगीत शिक्षाको लागि प्रयोग हुने अमर माध्यमिक बिद्यालयका पृथ बहादुर गर्बुजाले जानकारी दिएका छन भने सो संगीत कक्षा संचालनको लागि संगीत शिक्षकको रुपमा क प्रसाद गर्बुजालाई जिम्मेवारी दिइएको छ।
अमर माध्यमिक बिद्यालयका पुर्ब शिक्षक तथा सोरठी नृत्यका गुरु गम बहादुर पुन मगरको सल्लाहनुसार उक्त सांगीतिक सामग्रीहरु चिम्खोले काईला अक्षयकोष मार्फत चिम्खोले काईलाले उपहार स्वरूप प्रदान गरेका हुन्।
उक्त सांगीतिक सामाग्रीहरुले चिम्खोलाको अमर माध्यमिक बिद्यालयमा अध्ययन गर्ने नयाँ पिडिका छात्र तथा छात्राहरुलाई चिमखोलाका मौलिक सांस्कृतिहरु जस्तै: सोरठी तथा पुर्ख्यौली, थाली नृत्यलगायत अन्य लोकान्मुक सांस्कृतिक भाकाहरुको लागि तथा मादल बजाउने मादलेहरु जन्माउनको लागि र चिमखोलाका मौलिक सांस्कृतिहरु लोपहुन नदिनको लागि तथा मादलबाट निस्कने तालहरुलाई संरक्षण, सम्बर्दन र जगेर्ना गर्ने लक्ष लिएको छ।
संगीत कक्षमा आबद्ध छात्र तथा छात्राहरुले आगामी चैत्र महिनामा मनाउन गैरहेको भूमे पुजा मेलामा मादल खेल्ने तथा बजाउने कला प्रस्तुति गर्ने लक्ष लिएको छ भने मादल खेल्नमा सहभागिता जनाउने छोरा छोरीहरुलाई चिम्खोले काईला अक्षयकोषद्वारा नगद पुरुष्कार पनि प्रदान गरिने सोरठी गुरु गम पुनले जानकारी दिएका छन्।
