Dut Pun (Chimkhole Kaila), Editor of Everest Times UK and Former President of Magar Association UK, has been honored on the occasion of the 31st World Indigenous Day (Indigenous Peoples’ Day).
The Federation of Indigenous Nationalities of Nepal – UK (NEFIN UK), of which Chimkhole Kaila is also an advisor, presented him with the title “Man of the Year 2025” during the World Indigenous Ceremony held on Sunday at Kirat House.
Pun received the special award and honorary scarf from the chief guest Bhakta Bahadur Dura, founder secretary of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities Central Committee, along with NEFIN UK’s current advisor and chair Major Yogesh Koi Rai, in recognition of his significant contributions to journalism.
Chair Major Rai clarified that Pun was honored for his continuous contribution to the issues of Indigenous nationalities.
Editor Pun is also active in literature and social service. He is the central representative of the Federation of Nepali Journalists UK Chapter, and a former vice-president of the Nepal Magar Association UK. He is involved in various organizations in the UK and has already published a dozen books.
At the same ceremony, Gangamaya Dura, Senior Vice-President of the Nepal Indigenous Nationalities Women’s Federation UK, was honored with the title “Woman of the Year 2025.”
NEFIN UK has been presenting the Man of the Year and Woman of the Year awards to two individuals annually.
लन्डन १० अगस्ट २०२५ । एभरेष्ट टाईम्स यूकेका सम्पादक दुत पुन (चिम्खोले काईला) ३१ औं विश्व आदिवासी दिवस (मूलवासी दिवस) को अवसरमा सम्मानित भएका छन् ।
नेपाल आदिवासी जनजाति महासंघ (नेफिन युके)ले आफ्नो सल्लाहकारसमेत रहेका चिम्खोले काइँलालाई आइतबार किरात हाउसमा आयोजित विश्व आदिवासी समारोहमा ‘वर्ष पुरुष २०२५’बाट विशेष सम्मान गरेको हो ।
पुनलाई पत्रकारितामा विशेष योगदान दिएबापत कार्यक्रमका प्रमुख अतिथि नेपाल आदिवासी जनजाति महासंघ केन्द्रीय समितिका संस्थापक सचिव भक्तबहादुर दुरा तथा नेफिन यूकेका वर्तमान सल्लाहकार र अध्यक्ष मेजर योगेश कोयी राईले फेटासहित स्पेसल अवार्ड प्रदान गरेका थिए ।
अध्यक्ष मेजर राईले आदिवासी जनजातिको मुद्दामा लगातार योगदान पुर्याएको भन्दै पुनलाई सम्मान गरिएको प्रस्ट्याए ।
सम्पादक पुन साहित्य, समाजसेवामा समेत सक्रिय छन् । पुन नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघ यूके शाखाका केन्द्रीय प्रतिनिधि, नेपाल मगर संघ यूकेका पूर्वउपाध्यक्षसमेत हुन् । बेलायतस्थित विभिन्न संघसंस्थामा आबद्ध छन् । उनले १ दर्जन पुस्तक प्रकाशनमा ल्याइसकेका छन् ।
सोही समारवहमा नेपाल आदिवासी जनजाति महिला महासंघ युकेकी वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष गंगामाया दुरालाई ‘वर्ष महिला २०२५’बाट विशेष सम्मान गरिएको थियो ।
नेफिन यूकेले हरेक वर्ष आदिवासी वर्ष पुरुष र वर्ष महिलाबाट दुई जनालाई अवार्ड प्रदान गर्दै आएको छ ।
