The Greater Rushmoor Nepalese Community (GRNC) is going to organise a Remembrance Day 2025 – Honouring for the Fallen Heroes at Princes garden Aldershot on Saturday 8 November 2025.
Executive Members of the GRNC will gather in solemn reflection at Princes Gardens, Aldershot, to commemorate Remembrance Day 2025, paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of those who served and gave their lives for peace and freedom.
The day’s events began at 10:00 a.m. with final preparations coordinated by the event committee. By 10:40 a.m., all participants assembled at the Princes Gardens GP Surgery car park, before marching to the Kul Bir Thapa VC Memorial Statue at 10:45 a.m.
At 10:55 a.m., a short remembrance address was read by Trustee Mr. Ramdhan Rai, followed by a two-minute silence at 11:00 a.m. as the community stood together in deep reflection. The silence concluded with a solemn lament played by the pipers, followed by prayers offered by Pandit and Lamu Guru.
At 11:15 a.m., Gurkha Victoria Cross (VC) citations were read by GRNC General Secretary Mr. Sunil Rana, recalling the extraordinary bravery of Gurkha soldiers through history.

The event was coordinated by Vice President Mr. Uttar Bahadur Gurung and Secretary Mr. Sunil Rana, ensuring a respectful and smooth ceremony.
The gathering was a poignant reminder of the deep ties between the Gurkha community and the people of Aldershot, and of the enduring spirit of service, sacrifice, and remembrance that unites all generations.
